Initial Situation<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The customer uses a <strong>TOS BUB cylindrical grinding machine<\/strong>, used for precision finishing of metal components. The existing configuration did not include a closed extraction solution, which resulted in : <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>dispersion of grinding dust in the machining area,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>increased contamination of the surrounding work area,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>reduced air quality for operators,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>accumulation of fine particulates on machine components.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The challenge was to integrate an<strong> efficient suction and enclosure system<\/strong> onto an older machine model <strong>without modifying its structural geometry<\/strong> or impairing accessibility for setup operations.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Engineering Requirements<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MT Service established the following constraints for the upgrade:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Completely covers the grinding area without interfering with machine movement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Compatibility with the machine\u2019s original dimensions and kinematics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimal impact on operator access for clamping, measuring, and adjustments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Suction flow rate and filtration capacity compliant with grinding applications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Integration on site, with minimal production downtime<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. System Selection &amp; Design<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A customized <strong>AKNEL industrial vacuum unit<\/strong> was chosen because of its suitability for high particle content grinding environments. Key elements of the solution included: <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Automatic Roof Enclosure<br\/>A motorized roof structure was installed to fully cover the workpiece zone during machining.<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Its geometry was adapted to:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>follow the travel envelope of the machine,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>prevent particle escape at high grinding speeds,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>maintain clear access when opened.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Suction and Filtration Module<br\/>The AKNEL unit provided:<\/h3>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>High static pressure for continuous grinding cycles,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>multi-stage filtration including fine-particle retention,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>constant extraction at the primary dust-generation points.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Interface and Integration<br\/>Mechanical integration required:<\/h3>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>custom mounting brackets,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>alignment checks to avoid collisions with machine slides,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>routing of suction ducts without obstructing operator movement,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>synchronization with machine operation for automated roof control.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4.
